AIC training programmes include the ability to train incident investigators in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to three levels of competence.

AIC - RCA Training

Australian Investigation Consultants can provide training for this competency and also on-going coaching and mentoring of RCA practitioners within your organisation.

There are basically three levels of competency in this field which are the following

RCTM (RCA Team Member)

Understands the principles of RCA and can function as an  effective team member under the guidance of a RCA Specialist (This is the level that all your people should be so they are prepared to be part of an investigation team when required)

RCS (RCA Specialist)

Understands and can practice the principles of RCA and can effectively lead a RCA investigation team in an investigation (You need at least one of these to ensure the correct use of the RCA process to ensure your investigations are effective)

MRCS (Master Root Cause Specialist)

Understands at the highest level the principles and practice of the RCA process and can provide coaching and mentoring for the RCS and RCTM within your organisation (This level of competence is only really applicable to larger organisations where a number of RCS are working and need the coaching and mentoring of a MRCS to ensure continuous improvement)
